We are in our seventeenth year of operation, providing electrical service for residential, industrial and commercial customers. The first year Tom and I ran the business by ourselves. At this time we employ twenty two men full-time in the field as a nucleus for our service business and contracting work along with our office staff. Additional men are added to our work force, as needed, on a per job basis. We own our own building and rent space to four other businesses. We have thirteen trucks operating on the road; one cube van, one bucket truck, which is used for parking lot lighting, 1 Pole Line Auger truck, which is used to install light poles and eight service trucks used for general service.
My past personal associations prior to T & H Services, Inc. include over twenty years of electrical experience as General Construction Manager at Pierson Electric, Area Manager for Electric Maintenance and Construction of Tampa and area Manager in multi home apartment complexes for Deep South Electric.
My partner Tom Shimmell completed US Navy electrical school in 1962. From 1962 thru 1966 US Navy Honorable discharge.
After the Navy he worked in Detroit, Michigan where he had the opportunity to work and be schooled in electrical machine repair. This also gave him the opportunity to gain a good background in industrial and commercial service work. Over the past twelve years he has been employed as a working field superintendent for the electrical field for T & H Services, Inc. and Pierson Electric in Bradenton, Florida. Tom was my area manager for Pierson Electric for two years before we started T & H Services, Inc.
